Performance standard of fire door
(Notification No. 2005-232 of the Ministry of Construction and Transportation)

Fire steel door should ensure the difference performance specified in KS F 3109 according to the result of the fire resistance test in accordance with KS F 2268-1 (Fireproof test method of fire steel doors) in addition to torsional strength, vertical load strength, open / close force, open / close repeatability and impact resistance according to KS F 3109 (door set) and the result of the difference test in accordance with KS F 2846 (Difference test method of fire door), the non-insulated performance according to the provisions of Article 26 of the Rules on evacuation and fire protection of buildings,

Fire resistance test (KS F 2268-1)

According to the result of fire resistance test in accordance with KS F 2268-1 (fireproof test method of fire steel door), the non-insulated performance according to the provisions of Article 26 of the rules on evacuation and fire protection of buildings

  1. A cotton pad should be applied to prevent ignition
  2. During the test, 6 mm crack gauges should be applied to all openings on the backside except for the threshold area and the gauge should not pass horizontally beyond 150 mm through the specimen.
  3. A 25 mm crack gauge should be applied to all openings occurring on the back side of the test, and the gauge should not penetrate the specimen
  4. During the test, there should be no flames that last more than 10 seconds.
Difference test (KS F 2846)
  1. When the differential pressure is 25pa, the air leakage should not exceed 0.9㎥ / min.
Door set (KS F 3109)
  1. Torsional strength: According to KS F 2630, it is used to determine the defects of the slope by identifying the degree of return to the original state when the force is removed if the door is twisted with a certain force
  2. Vertical load strength: it is a test to check the coupling between door and door frame by measuring the resistance of door to vertical direction by adding a certain amount of force to the door in a vertical direction, measuring the amount of deformation after a certain period of time (15 minutes) and measuring the resistance of the door to the vertical direction. The load is 76.5kg in the vertical direction, and the performance should not cause any abnormality in the opening and closing at the residual displacement of 3mm or less and should not interfere with the use.
  3. Opening and closing force: Measures the minimum opening force and closing force required for opening and closing the door in accordance with KS F 2237.
  4. Opening and closing repeatability: Based on KS F 2636, this is a test to find out that there is no problem in opening and closing when the door is used for a certain period by repeatedly opening and closing the door. If the door is opened and closed repeatedly more than 100,000 times at 80 ± 5 angles using a motor, reducer, door closure, etc., there should be no problem in opening and closing and no obstacle to use.
  5. Impact resistance: Based on KS F 2236, this is a test to determine that there is no deformation when the door is fixed and impact is applied at a constant load. When shocked by a 30kg sand bag at 65 angles, 1M height, there should be no harmful deformation to the door and no obstacle to opening and closing.
